In 1988 Jay Hansbro, the founder of Leather Legs™, came to the conclusion that the bottom 2/3 of your chaps are doing all the work while the top 1/3 is the part that keeps you out of your pants pockets and got too hot on a warm day. When you finally have to come out of ‘em, the word "repack" was redefined. So Jay set out to "reinvent the Wheel" so to speak. By the end of that year, he finally developed a leather leg protection that worked and gave’em a name, "Leather Legs". Even though they are bug stained, worn on the knees and generally starting to show their age, each time Jay rides, he still wears that first pair of Leather Legs™.

For the next several years, while fitting friends and friends to be, Jay worked in his garage, experimenting, modifying and tweaking Leather Legs. With input and help from friends, Leather Legs™ became the "Hot" new product it is today. There are now thousands of bikers, cowboys and hunters wearing Leather Legs™. In fact, the postman delivers a regular flow of mail from them expressing their satisfaction beyond expectations.

When I discovered Leather Legs™, I knew I had to be a part of this exciting company. I spent hours with Jay learning his expertise and Jay finally consented to sell me his company.

Most of my customers are bikers; although, popularity is growing fast with the horsemen (and horsewomen) as well as hunters. My staff and I have lots of fun making Leather Legs™ knowing we’re doing our best to manufacturer an exciting product that really works and looks good doing it.
